Zinedine Zidane does not plan to keep five players in his preferred squad for the remaining half of the 2020/21 season at Real Madrid.

The Madrid coach seems to have decided on the set of players who will lead his team to glory. French has supervised nine unbeaten matches since an embarrassing 2-0 loss to Shakhtar Donetsk in November.

Zidane has now decided to leave five players completely out of his plans for the rest of the season. according to GOL newspaper. His blacklist has already passed to the board of directors that includes Álvaro Odriozola, Isco, Marcelo, Luka Jovic and Mariano.

Isco and Marcelo have fallen out of favor with Zidane in recent months. The duo played a crucial role in their first term, but they don’t want them anymore. Zizou is likely to keep them until the end of the season, but not beyond.

Odriozola and the two forwards have played less than the other two. Florentino Pérez, however, is not convinced to sell Jovic and Odriozola due to their age, but remains interested in getting rid of Mariano permanently.

Los Blancos are planning a big cleanup this summer, mainly to make way for new signings. Eduardo Camavinga, Erling Braut Haaland and Kylian Mbappé are the club’s main objectives for the summer and he will have to adjust, financially and in terms of squad.

Besides that, Real Madrid earned only 313,000 euros in fiscal year 2020 due to the pandemic. Meringues believe that separating from various outcasts will help them get out of financial stress. Who else should the club sell or lend to?
