West Ham United are interested in signing Vitoria Guimaraes winger Marcus Edwards.

The 22-year-old winger has been quite impressive for the Portuguese side and has been linked with several English clubs in recent months.

According to Team talkCrystal Palace, Southampton, Fulham, Brentford, Bournemouth and Swansea have all shown interest in his services and it will be interesting to see where he eventually ends up.

The versatile attacking midfielder scored nine goals and collected nine assists for Vitoria last season and is likely to improve West Ham creatively and in front of goal if he moves to the London club.

Marcus Edwards has known the Premier League since his time at Tottenham and could quickly adapt and have an immediate impact on West Ham.

The 22-year-old can play on either flank and also as number ten.

The youngster barely had a chance to show his true potential at Tottenham and might be interested in showing his quality in the Premier League in the future.

He has a contract with the Portuguese club until the summer of 2023 and West Ham will have to pay the sale price if they want to secure his services.

The 22-year-old is an excellent dribbler and West Ham desperately need someone like him who can carry the ball down the field. Additionally, Edwards has a vision to execute split defensive passes in the last third and his signing could benefit players like Sebastien Haller, who have been deprived of service in attack.
