Chelsea captain Thiago Silva has put his team in the lead in Monday’s thrilling London derby against West Ham United.
Silva, 36, joined Chelsea over the summer on a free contract after his contract with Paris-Saint Germain expired earlier in the year.
Since the Brazilian in command arrived at Stamford Bridge, he has been named Frank Lampard’s patron and has already participated in 13 matches, in all competitions.
During Monday’s tense Premier League showdown, the Chelsea captain steered his team towards the lead against rivals West Ham United.
Around the 10th minute, teammate Mason Mount shot into a corner that Silva deftly dispatched.
