Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl urged star forward Danny Ings to compromise his future with the Saints as the English forward’s contract enters its final 18 months.
Ings, 28, initially joined the Saints on a loan from Liverpool for one season in 2018 before making his permanent move to the South Coast the following season.
Southampton’s investment in Ings already seemed to pay off after the Englishman scored 38 goals in 75 games in all competitions.
However, with only 18 months remaining on his current contract, Ings’ long-term future will be of some concern to his side and to his fans.
Talking about his star forward in a recent interview with Sky sportsHasenhuttl has urged the 28-year-old to sign on the dotted line.
