Michigan security Daxton Hill declared its NFL draft on Thursday.

Hill is ranked as the second-best security prospect in the draft, according to ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr., behind Notre Dame security Kyle Hamilton. He is the younger brother of the Baltimore Ravens, driving back Justice Hill and a former five-star recruit in the 2019 class.

He was number 13 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and had committed to Michigan, turned his commitment to Alabama, only to return to Michigan and sign with the Wolverines.

Hill played in 12 out of 13 games in his freshman season in 2019, and then started all six games in the truncated 2020 season. He finished in second place on the team with 46 tackles and also had an interception with five passes.

He was again number two on the team in overall tackles last season with 69. He also had 4.5 tackles for losses, two interceptions and eight passes.

While playing safety and a little nickel this season, Hill was an All-Big Ten selection and still had a year of eligibility left.
