Leeds United forward Tyler Roberts has praised his teammate Raphinha.
The Brazilian joined the summer transfer window from French team Stade Rennes on the deadline day in a deal worth £ 17 million.
The jet-heeled winger has been quick to settle into their new club and has been simply exceptional for them so far.
Raphinha has scored four goals and recorded five assists in 16 Premier League starts, but his overall contribution – linking plays, creating spaces for others with smart moves and dazzling skills – has been very crucial for Marcelo Bielsa’s team.
He is fast, skilled and his direct style of soccer makes him a perfect player in a Bielsa system. He has cemented his position on the side and has ousted Helder Costa in Biela’s starting lineup.
Roberts, who has fought for games this season and only had his third season start in the top flight against the Wolves, was completely impressed with Raphinha’s work ethic in training.
He has suggested that his signing is a ‘steal’ for the club, and that everyone at Leeds is lucky to have it. Roberts has hailed him as an “outstanding” and a “definitely great player” that only proves his enormous importance to the current Leeds team.
“In training you can see immediately that he is a typical Brazilian skilled player, but the work ethic that he brings is also outstanding.
“It is going very well in our team. We are lucky to have it. I think it’s worth a lot of money. He is definitely a great player. I enjoy working and playing with him. “
Leeds are 12th in the league table, after losing back-to-back matches against Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
