Tottenham is surprisingly not looking to sell or loan Dele Alli during the January transfer window, according to Sky Sports.

The announcer has been informed by Spurs that the frozen midfielder is expected to stay and fight for his place in the squad.

Ali played just 16 minutes for the club last month and has only made four appearances for Spurs in the Premier League this season.

José Mourinho criticized Alli last month after his flick gave away the ball that led to the counterattack for Tottenham’s goal against Stoke.

“For me, a player who plays in that position is a player who has to bond and create and not create problems for his own team,” he said.

“They put us on a counterattack, so yeah, I was upset.”

In early December, Mourinho insisted that he had no problem with the former MK Dons.

“I have no problem with Dele, I have no problem with any of the players. It’s not about that, “said Mourinho, after calling the player” lazy. “ in a clip from Amazon’s documentary All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur.

Speculation has suggested that Alli will be transferred this month and it is believed that PSG tried to sign him in the summer. They have just named former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino as their new head coach and may well renew their efforts to sign the Englishman.

But Cloud They insist the Spurs don’t want to let Alli leave while they continue to compete in four competitions.

Mourinho has Gareth Bale, Giovani Lo Celso and Erik Lamela unavailable. And he’s apparently willing to have Alli at his disposal even though he’s barely played him so far.

It seems that Sky has purposely fed from the official club line. However, if a serious offer is made for Alli, it will be interesting to see if the club’s stance changes.

Spurs to hear duo offers

Meanwhile, the club is willing to allow Paulo Gazzaniga and Danny Rose to leave the club.

Sky sports report that both players are for sale.

Gazzaniga, who has an 18-month contract, has not appeared in any squad this season.

Joe Hart has been preferred as a backup for Lloris and Mourinho will look to move the 29-year-old.

Rose, who was loaned to Newcastle last season, is also a player the club will hear offers for.

Rose didn’t even get a jersey number for this season and is a free agent for the summer.
