Tottenham is reportedly closing in on a £ 4.5 million deal for a talented MLS right-back after beating Juventus for the player.
LA Galaxy defender Julian Araujo is considered one of America’s most promising talents in recent years.
The 19-year-old made his breakthrough last season and this time he’s having another impressive season.
Araujo is described as a modern winger who defends aggressively but also enjoys advancing.
A report in the Sunday People over the weekend (cited by AS) I affirm that José Mourinho’s men had beaten the Italian giants Juve at the player’s signature.
The report added that the Spurs would land the youngster for around £ 4.5 million by the end of the season.
That news has since been backed up by Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur. He has stated (as quoted The Spurs website) that Tottenham is in the process of closing the deal.

The MLS star isn’t exactly a necessity
Araujo is clearly regarded as a player for the future in North London, particularly after the Spurs landed Matt Doherty over the summer.
However, it’s fair to say that the former Wolfman has yet to show the form he did during his time in Molineux.
Indeed, Serge Aurier has largely been Mourinho’s first choice as a right-back this season after returning to form.
Tottenham also feature the versatile Japhet Tanganga. To that end, they are well supplied in position before Araujo’s possible arrival.
