Doherty fighting for his place
Doherty has a contract that runs through 2024, while the report adds that he is determined to fight for his place.
In all likelihood, Aurier is more likely to move in than Doherty in the summer.
Ivory Coast had an impressive start to the season, but the mistakes that plagued them last year have started to creep into their game again.
Tanganga, meanwhile, is still seen as a center-back capable of playing as a right-back if necessary.
To that end, Doherty is likely to get another season to prove himself. Although, whether that is under Mourinho remains to be seen, as Spurs’ form continues to decline.
