Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social media site Twitter to express their reaction to reports linking the club to a move for Eder Militao.
According to reports from Corriere Dello Sport, Spurs are interested in signing the Real Madrid defender this month.
It has been claimed that Spurs have contacted Real Madrid to sign the loaned player so that the signing is permanent in the summer.
The 22-year-old came to Madrid from Porto in 2019 but has struggled to make an impact with Zinedine Zidane.
Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane and Nacho are ahead of him in the defensive hierarchical order, and he needs to get away from the Santiago Bernabéu to get regular matches.
Many Spurs fans feel that he would be a very good signing for the club. These are some of the selected tweets:
As soon as Jose gets that quick CB, trust. the line is pushed up and we start to attack again. Get it done

I would take that, central defender who can also play forehand with a little rhythm. He would play Militão CB and would play a Tanganga in full form as a right back. Aurier has mistakes in him and struggles to defend and Doherty hasn’t reached the heights he hoped for since his transfer from Wolves.

A good player who went to Real because they needed CB but he doesn’t play much because Zidane doesn’t like it and Ramos and Varane play all the time, so if we get it, he’s better than Skriniar.

I would absolutely love this. Loan with option to buy is my favorite type of deal by far

SL View – Good signing for Spurs
Clearly, Militao’s move to Madrid has not worked for him. But that doesn’t make him a bad defender overnight.
He has shown his quality during his time at Porto. He is primarily a center back who can also play as a right back.
Mourinho has Davinson Sánchez and Joe Rodon as central defense options, but Militao would be an improvement.
Plus, Matt Doherty hasn’t been impressive since his summer transfer from the Wolves, and Militao could solve the right-back problem.
After signing Sergio Reguilon and Gareth Bale (on loan) from Madrid this summer, Spurs have already established a good working relationship with Los Blancos, and it remains to be seen if they can bring in another player from the La Liga champions this month.
