Tom Brady sends an emotional statement to Rob Gronkowski following the announcement of retirement.

Rob Gronkowski retires from football (again), but this time it should probably hold. The eternal sidekick from NFL GOAT Tom Brady retired once before and then retired when Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Gronkowski joined Brady on the field for another two seasons and won the Super Bowl with him again.

But on Tuesday, he announced that he is finally done.

Tom Brady reflects on friendship, career with Rob Gronkowski

Shortly after the news, Brady broke out with a lengthy statement to his friend when he retired.

“Teammate, friend, brother, just a few of the words that come to mind when I think of @gronk. No one has ever embodied the idea of ’letting it all out on the field’, as Rob has done throughout every career.Every snap I knew that no matter how many people you put in front of him, he would come to his place.

Even more important is the person he was off the field. Focused when he should be, and FUN the rest of the time. Having Gronk in your locker room was every NFL player’s dream. I am proud of all that we have achieved together, and even more excited about all that you have in front of you.

Congratulations Gronk, you deserve it. “

Gronk confirmed the retirement news with a separate post on social media and wrote:

“In college, I was asked to write about a dream job opportunity that I would pursue and where the location would be. Every time I had to write about my future, no matter what, I chose to be a professional football player,” he wrote on Instagram. ” For that task, however, we had to choose the place. So I wrote that I would play in Tampa for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, for many reasons when the sunny weather was number 1. I completely forgot to write this report until 2 years ago when I had the opportunity to join Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And let me tell you, the journey through Tampa over the last 2 years has blown away what I originally wrote about in college, big time. And for this, I want to thank the entire first-class Buccaneers organization for a great trip, trusting that I will return to play and help build a championship team. I will now go back to my retirement home, walk away from football again with my head raised knowing that I gave it everything I had, good or bad, every time I stepped out on the field. The friendships and relationships I have gained will last forever and I appreciate each and every one of my teammates and coaches for also giving everything they had. From retirement, back to football and winning another championship and now back to relaxing, thank you to everyone. Buccaneers fans, Krewe, without you, none of this is possible, all of you brought it every game, thank you for everything you do. Cheers for the next one, maybe sailing on the sea Arghhhhhh !! ”

Many have wondered if Brady would retire after the 2022 season, and now these rumors will surely be reinforced with Gronk making things official.
