The reason why Neymar will force PSG to sign Messi

When Neymar announced after the last Paris Saint-Germain game that he wanted to play with Lionel Messi next season, there was confusion as to whether he meant it would be at PSG or Barcelona.

Until recently, the Brazilian had not hidden that he wanted to return to the Camp Nou, however, for one reason or another the transfer never occurred.

Now that the Catalans apparently have no money, that would suggest that Neymar’s expectation was that the Argentine would join him in Paris.

Le10Sport, cited by Sport, have now confirmed that this is the case, but Neymar is withholding his current employers for a ransom.

According to the media, the forward is linking the signing of his new contract with Parisiens to that of Messi who joins the club next summer.

Therefore, the inference is that if PSG cannot secure Messi, that could affect Neymar’s decision to continue at the club beyond 2022.
