Derek Carr’s days with the Las Vegas Raiders may be numbered, despite getting the team to the playoffs this season.

It looks like the same rumor is coming up in every NFL offseason in one form or another: Will the Las Vegas Raiders move on from quarterback Derek Carr.

Push may finally get to push this offseason.

Despite getting the Raiders to the playoffs under incredibly harsh circumstances, the annual Derek Carr rumors emerge before he can even take the field in Saturday’s Wild Card match against the Bengals.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the future of Carr in Las Vega is in full swing heading into a low season with potential changes.

Schefter dropped the bomb on the NFL Countdown, which ironically counts down to Carr taking the field with the Raiders on the Wild Card Saturday:

2022 is scheduled to be the final year of Carr’s contract and there are expected to be contract talks between Carr and the team this offseason. It has always been the plan to tackle it in the off-season. But there have been so many quarterbacks in the past with speculation linked to Vegas.
