Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts insists the club should blame the coaching staff for allowing Noni Madueke to leave amid ties to the PSV Eindhoven winger.
Madueke started his career at Spurs, but left to move to PSV in 2017, where he became a first-team star.
The 19-year-old has made a total of 44 entries for the Dutch club throughout their time in the Eredivisie, and has scored 15 goals, in addition to providing nine assists.
Do the Spurs need Madueke?
Yes – 100%
Reports suggest Spurs are among a handful of Premier League clubs interested in signing him this summer, including Leicester City, with the transfer deadline approaching.
Any deal would cost more than £ 30 million and Roberts thinks there should be some criticism of the club’s coaching staff.
Madueke never graduated from the Spurs youth setup and was unable to make a single senior appearance for the club. By Transfer market, he once played in the U18 Premier League for the North London club.
And Roberts told Football FanCast: “We had it as a child. He was in Tottenham as a child. I don’t think the president can be blamed, I think the coaching staff should be blamed, if they have let him go, and then you are going to pay £ 30 million to get it back ”.
