A section of Manchester United fans on Twitter praised Marcus Rashford’s performance during the club’s 3-2 win over Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth round yesterday.
The England international has generally excelled against the Reds at home (three goals in the last three games) and continued the hot streak with a goal and an assist.
The 23-year-old delivered a perfect one-inch cross ball in the first half that sent Mason Greenwood clear on goal to score the tie.
Shortly after the interval, the roles were reversed when Greenwood became supplier to Rashford, who gave United the advantage on the fast break.
Rhy Williams’ failed interception allowed Rashford to go one-on-one with Alisson and calmly passed the ball past the advancing goalkeeper.
Bruno Fernandes definitely made the most headlines with his splendid free kick off the bench, but some fans have reserved their praise for Rashford as well.

Enters. Brilliant victory for @Man Utd. It’s always great to beat Liverpool. Rashford couldn’t be played today and Luke Shaw was fantastic. #MUFC

Rashford has missed some clear opportunities this season, but has still had a peak season in all competitions with 15 goals and 10 assists in 31 appearances.
Four minutes from the end of regulation time, the striker was replaced with an apparent knee injury and headed straight for the tunnel.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that the player undergo a scan and hopefully there is nothing serious and you can get back to action as soon as possible.
