Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissko says there is no reason his team cannot continue to fight hard for four trophies this season.

Spurs claimed their place in the April Carabao Cup final on Tuesday after beating Brentford in North London.

Meanwhile, Jose MourinhoThe men have booked their place in the Europa League for the last 32. In addition, they start their FA Cup campaign against Marine on Sunday.

And while Spurs’ form in the Premier League has waned a bit in recent weeks, they are still fourth in the table and four points behind leaders Liverpool.

As such, Sissoko feels the time has come for Tottenham to win their first trophy since 2008.

“It’s time to win a trophy,” he said. “I think it was the moment for many years, but we always missed that kind of opportunity and now we want to take advantage of it.

“We have qualified for a final, I hope we win it. There are still a lot of games left before the final and we can still do a lot.

“We are still in the race for the league, we have the other cup to play, the Europa League as well and there are many things to do with the team this season.

“Let’s believe in ourselves, let’s keep fighting and let’s try to win every game and see what we can do.”

French midfielder Sissoko also credited Mourinho for instilling a winning mentality in his players.

Sissoko praises Mourinho’s influence

“Because we know what kind of coach José is and what he did in the past, I think the president brought him here to win trophies and he tried to bring that mentality to the team,” he said.

“I will not say that we did not have it before with the old coach, but the team is working hard on that and he works hard every day.

“Now it is good that we reach the final, now we have to win it.”

Spurs‘The last trophy came in the League Cup under the direction of Juan Ramos.
