Several clubs are interested in the signing of former Leeds United player Jack Clarke on loan, reports Football Insider.
After signing for Spurs in 2019, the youngster had been unable to find playing time with José Mourinho, despite having brief appearances in Europe. With the arrival of Gareth Bale, it has fallen into the hierarchy ever since.
But the 20-year-old appears to be a long-term investment for Lillywhites, and the transfer takes a step in the right direction for the player and the club. Several championship clubs are reported to be interested in the player’s service, including Coventry City, as reported by Football Insider.
Clarke signed for Spurs after his great 2018/19 season with Leeds United before being loaned back to Bielsa’s side on a season loan deal. Despite his best efforts, he failed his second spell at the club, and the Spurs called him back mid-season. He was later sent on loan to QPR for the remainder of the season, where he managed to play six times for Mark Warburton.
After his difficult streaks last season, José Mourinho insisted on his presence in the team for the new campaign. But he still has not managed to regularly reach the squad of the day despite having won two games in Europe.
In addition to Coventry City, Stock City is also rumored to be interested in serving the youngster with Tyrese Campbell ruled out for the remainder of the season. The absence of injuries to Steven Fletcher and Lee Gregory has led the club to seek a short-term solution in the transfer market.
