Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill is now isolated after being placed on the COVID-19 list.
The Tennessee Titans have encountered a bit of a COVID-19 problem as the list has grown with guys now isolated. Thursday morning broke the news that starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill is now even on the COVID-19 list. This happens after Mike Vrabel tested positive.
According to Tom Pelissero, Tannehill has been vaccinated. This means that he was placed on the COVID list, either because he tested positive or suffered from symptoms of Coronavirus. Nevertheless, he will be away from the team until he can deliver two negative tests at 24 hour intervals.
Ryan Tannehill has been placed on the COVID-19 list
This is, of course, incredibly worrying news for the Titans and the coaching staff. The good update, though, is that Tannehill is fully vaccinated.
Either way, he needs to be away from the team and the locker room until he can get completely well again. Tennessee is going to be incredibly cautious here as they do not want a massive outbreak. The team’s total number of members on the COVID list is up to eight.
We’ve seen COVID issues arise across the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys have six players on the COVID list as of yesterday, plus defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. As the Delta variant spreads at an alarming rate, we see positive cases rising across the country. The NFL is not immune to that.
The Titans are ready to face the Arizona Cardinals on Sept. 12 to open the regular season. There is plenty of time for Tannehill to heal and get ready for the action. This will of course be a situation that needs to be followed up closely to things.
