Talking to the journalist from Bild Christian falk, Antonio Rudiger confirmed that he advised both Timo Werner and Kai Havertz to join Chelsea in the summer.
None of the three Germans had had much luck with Frank Lampard, with Rudiger frozen and Chelsea’s two major Bundesliga imports struggling to produce their best level of performance.
All three have a payback opportunity with Thomas Tuchel, and Werner is already beginning to seize that opportunity with both hands, having been named man of the match in Chelsea’s two previous games against Sheffield United and Newcastle United.
Havertz remains injured but will look to make his mark upon his return. Both he and Werner will appreciate that, in the most difficult period of their respective careers to date, they had a partner like Rudiger to put an arm around them.
Speaking with Christian Falk from Bild, Rudiger revealed that he advised both players to move to Stamford Bridge and is now trying to support them as best he can. What a man!
SURE? Big Brother Rudi. @ToniRuediger on @TimoWerner Y @ kaihavertz29: „I helped them and advised them to go to @Chelsea football club. That is why I am always by his side. In the field, they can only help themselves. ” pic.twitter.com/j0XNZJRtjF
