Atlético de Madrid defender José Giménez has hinted at a strong indication that he would be interested in a transfer to Chelsea following his recent ties to the Blues.
The Uruguayan international has been a rock solid player for Atlético over the years and could be an excellent signing for Chelsea to help them strengthen themselves in a troubled position.
Although Frank Lampard has done a good job at Stamford Bridge, he could certainly use an upgrade on players like Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, as well as a long-term replacement for Thiago Silva, 36.
Giménez has been linked to Chelsea by Fabrizio Romano in his Here we go podcast in recent times, and now the player himself has fueled speculation with his activity on social networks.

These days, a simple ‘like’ on Twitter can reveal a lot about a player’s mindset, so it really could be that they’re tempted by the prospect of moving to Chelsea.
And why not? Lampard has done a good job with CFC, who appear to be a serious contender for the Premier League title this season and could soon re-emerge as one of the best teams in Europe with perhaps just one or two more signings in key areas.
Chelsea have attacked Atlético several times in the recent past, and Giménez could be another good deal if the deal works out.
