Tottenham Hotspur winger Jack Clarke is set to leave the club in the on loan January transfer window. according to Daily Mail reports.
The report claims that the 20-year-old winger is currently in talks with championship club Stoke City to join them on a temporary deal for the remainder of the season.
In the summer of 2019, Spurs signed Clarke for a £ 10 million fee from Leeds United. The North London club immediately sent him on loan to the Yorkshire club.
Clarke was also on loan to Queens Park Rangers last season as the Spurs felt he needed more experience and playing time.
SL View: Good move for Clarke
The Spurs have a lot of talent in offensive midfield, and it’s hard to see Clarke getting games right now.
The pecking order at the club has dropped following the arrival of Gareth Bale from the Spurs in the summer.
The youngster came on as a substitute during Sunday’s 5-0 FA Cup win against Marine, but it looks like he may have played his last game for the Spurs this season.
He is highly unlikely to get another chance any time soon, while the Stoke loan looks promising.
Earlier this season, reports claimed that José Mourinho was very impressed with Clarke in training and wanted him to grow at the club.
However, a loan to Stoke seems like a good move for all parties involved, and especially for the youngster who needs to play regularly.
