Rangers keep an eye on Fatai Gbadamosi in January transfer window, according to 90 minute reports.

Ibrox’s club have been linked to a move by Liverpool forward Taiwo Awoniyi, but they are also looking to strengthen other areas of the pitch.

The 22-year-old defensive midfielder plays for the Shooting Stars of the Nigerian second division and has represented Nigeria internationally.

The report claims that Gers are facing competition from Scottish Premiership rivals Celtic.

SL View – Good signing for Old Firm clubs?

The Rangers, who lead the Scottish Premiership table by 21 points from Celtic, are well equipped in midfield.

However, Glen Kamara’s future has been constantly speculated in the media and the Rangers are likely looking for his long-term replacement.

Celtic are also interested in signing him, suggesting the Old Firm clubs are spotting a talented youngster. He’s not a high-profile name that can get the fanbase excited, but clearly, he’s a player for the future.

Rangers and Celtic can get him at a decent transfer fee, but getting a work permit for him could be a problem.

The Hoops must undergo a massive rebuilding process in the summer, and Celtic need to shed a lot of players. With Scott Brown approaching the twilight of his career, it’s time for Celtic to invest in raw young talent.
