Burnley is interested in signing Jonjoe Kenny from Everton in the January transfer window, according to Daily Mail reports.
Kenny has made just seven appearances this season and has managed just 79 minutes of Premier League football.
The report claims that Burnley has asked about the Everton full-back and the talks have been at a preliminary stage.
SL View – Kenny should go
The 23-year-old wants to play more regularly and Burnley is looking to offer him an escape route.
Sean Dyche is eager to make him one of the first signings under the new ownership of Alan Pace, and Kenny would be a very good signing for the club.
He was brilliant last season with German club Schalke on loan. However, he has failed to convince Carlo Ancelotti at Everton.
Ancelotti did not use it regularly even when Seamus Coleman was injured. Instead, the Italian changed the formation, using two center-backs in the wing roles.
It clearly shows that Ancelotti does not have enough faith in Kenny, and it is unlikely that his situation will improve overnight.
Burnley can offer you regular playing time, something you badly need right now.
Whether Burnley would make a formal offer for the right-back remains to be seen, but a possible move to Turf Moor would suit all parties involved.
