Maxx Crosby has science on his side when he comes and recruits Tyrann Mathieu away from the Kansas City Chiefs and onto the Las Vegas Raiders in his free agency.

Crosby and Mathieu have been competing against each other for years in the AFC West. While both have become Pro Bowlers for their rival team, Mathieu has a rare opportunity to go Rich Gannon at all, so to speak anti-Marcus Allen. Crosby may already have new teammates like Chandler Jones and Davante Adams in total, but he’s going for The Honey Badger big time now.
Honey badgers are silver and black, so it’s only fate that Mathieu takes his talents to Las Vegas.

While the Raiders have greatly improved their list in the NFL free agency, the same cannot be said of the Chiefs. Kansas City can no longer say with certainty that its team will win the AFC West for the fifteenth year in a row. The Raiders were a playoff team a season ago with an interim coach and are much better. The Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers have also made big splashes.
At this point, it seems the Chiefs are more likely to pick up Stephon Gilmore to renew their secondary than give Mathieu another contract. They did not retain cornerback Charvarius Ward, who signed with the San Francisco 49ers. While other teams are in the mix for Mathieu’s services, the Indianapolis Colts are the big team to keep an eye on in his free agency.
Now that the Colts have a solution as quarterback in Matt Ryan, they can go out and compete for championships. At this point in Mathieu’s career, he can pick and choose where he’s going. He already has the personal braces from his three previous stops, as well as a Super Bowl from his first year with the Chiefs. If money speaks, then Mathieu could end up with Silver and Black.
Using science, it is an indisputable truth that Crosby has put forward a convincing case against Mathieu.
