Green Bay Packers legend Donald Driver tweeted and then deleted that the team signed Donald Driver.
Is a veteran playmaker joining the Green Bay Packers offense to help Aaron Rodgers? If you asked team legend Donald Driver, that seemed to be the case. On Sunday, Driver took to his Instagram to share the news that Green Bay will sign the only Dez Bryant.
What on earth? The news that Bryant could potentially join the Packers has not been reported elsewhere. So does Driver have a good scoop before the normal season starts, or is it fake news?
Donald Driver posted and then deleted his Dez Bryant story
Driver ended up removing that IG story, which only adds even more confusion here. Will Bryant catch balls from Rodgers or not? If Bryant were to return to Lambeau Field, it would definitely be something.
The post came from Driver’s account as it is the same username. Instagram stories do not reveal the verified tick an account may have. However, it has since been deleted and / or disappeared after 24 hours.
No one has forgotten the controversial catch that was overturned in the playoffs between Dallas and Green Bay back in 2014. At fourth-and-2, Tony Romo threw a deep ball to Bryant and he made a miraculous grip on one yard line, or so thought we. It was ruled incomplete and the Packers won on. Unreal.
Now Driver claims (we think) that Bryant will return to Wisconsin, but this time he will be wearing a Packers jersey. Best known for his days in Dallas, Bryant had a comeback last season with the Ravens appearing in six games.
He sent six receptions to 47 yards and two touchdowns. Will he get another chance with Green Bay? We will know the answer to that question soon enough.
