UNC-UCLA tickets for the blue blood battle in March Madness Sweet 16
A wild offseason with a host of star movements in the NFL has led to some big fluctuations in the expected over / under win totals for the upcoming season.
This offseason has been one of the craziest in NFL history thanks to some huge free agent spending and blockbuster trades that have seen people like Russell Wilson, Deshaun Watson, Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill switch teams. All of this unprecedented player movement has led to some interesting over / under predictions for winning totals on all 32 NFL teams.
DraftKings Sportsbook has released an early list of over / unders to take into account all of the NFL player movement to date. A collection of this list, along with futures for division titles and Super Bowl odds, was compiled on Twitter by Sebastien Carl.
Takeaways from the NFL’s early over / under totals
It’s worth mentioning that only 31 of the NFL’s 32 teams have a total available to bet right now. The Browns are not listed on the board due to uncertainty over a potential suspension for Watson, who is still facing 22 civil lawsuits for sexual assault and could miss out on time due to violations of the league’s personal conduct policy.
The highest teams on the board are the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who both have a total of 11.5 wins. Buffalo are well positioned to do well in the AFC thanks to a step back from the Kansas City Chiefs and the absolute carnage AFC West will do for the top challenger, while the Buccaneers benefit from getting Tom Brady back to rule a division with three others team in transition.
AFC West is the NFL’s toughest division overall, with three teams expected to win 10 games and the Las Vegas Raiders trailing by 8 expected wins. The lowest winnings belong to the Houston Texans, New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions, who all have over / under totals under 6.
