Four NFL draft analysts, 10 rounds, 40 picks in total: Mel Kiper Jr., Todd McShay, Jordan Reid and Matt Miller went head-to-head-to-head-to-head to draft their own super teams of the best 2022 prospectuses. For the full draft – and the accompanying debates – as it happened, check out the latest edition of First Draft.
The rules? Kiper, McShay, Reid and Miller snake-drafted through 10 rounds to complete the starting line-ups, with each list having specific required positions: a quarterback, a running back, a wide receiver or tight end, a tackle, an inside offensive lineman, three front seven defenders , a cornerback and a safety. They were allowed to throw positions in any order, and they designed their units according to the schedule they wanted to run on each side of the ball. Versatility was a must. The exercise gives us a good idea of positional value, how analysts stack their personal boards, and what perspectives should prove to be most effective at the next level.
Which team has the advantage of quarterback, wide receiver, pass-rusher and cornerback? Let’s start from the top and go apart, but you can jump to the final lists. And yes … you will have an opportunity at the bottom to pick the winner of our ultimate NFL draft fantasy league.

The pickers
The draft order was randomized, with Kiper landing the first choice. But because it is a snake format, Miller has back-to-back choices at No. 4 and 5, and Kiper does not opt again after No. 1 before No. 8. No swap was allowed.
