Nuno Espirito Santo denied that the Lobos have a mentality problem, but admitted that they need to find a solution in the absence of Raúl Jiménez.
The Wolves suffered a 4-0 loss to Liverpool in their first game without Jiménez since he fractured his skull after a head clash with David Luiz against Arsenal.
Jiménez, who Nuno has confirmed is out of hospital, has been vital to the Wolves’ growth since they returned to the Premier League in 2018. So it was perhaps not too surprising to see them fight without him.
Indeed, Nuno admitted that they “never felt comfortable” against Liverpool and that they must learn to deal with Jiménez’s absence.
“The result is a consequence of performance and today we did not do well,” he said. Amazon. “We started the game well but we never felt comfortable in the game.
“We weren’t good enough with ball possession and we created half chances, not chances.
“Not having Raúl is a blow but you have to find solutions within the team to continue progressing. That’s the situation now, so it’s up to us to find the right solutions.
“It’s not mentality, I think we couldn’t deal with the pressure from Liverpool.”

Nuno, though she didn’t get involved in the conversation. “I haven’t seen the penalty decision yet,” he replied simply.
This was the first match at Anfield that fans had attended since Liverpool were proclaimed Premier League champions. Wolves have yet to play in front of their own crowd, and Nuno admits that can make a difference.
