We got in the brand new Nike GS Green Speed soccer cleats and they’re something sharp something extremely limited. Now Nike have only made 2,012 pair of these shoes for the global market, and we’re very lucky here at SoccerPro to be able to offer you a bunch for sale.
Now the first thing you’re going to notice about these shoes that’s really cool is the shoe box. As you can see, it’s brown cardboard and made from recycled materials which is a big part of these shoes and the whole personality of this entire line.
You’ll also notice that stamped on the front with the number of these particular shoes are out of the 2,012 that have been made for the public.
Now you can see that our one here we have is actually number four out of 2012 and we’re really lucky to have one that’s so close to the number one boot that Neymar is actually wearing on field at the olympics.
As we move on to the actual shoe itself, you’ll notice the sharp green and black colors that really make these shoes pop and look great on the field and on TV if you’ve seen Neymar wearing them.
The upper, right around the fore foot, is made from Kangalite. It’s the same thin, light Kangalite that you’re going to find on the new Nike Maestri III and it really offers a great fit and great feel on the ball.
It also features the new Nike All Conditions Control tempered texture that’s really going to help you get some extra traction on the ball even in wet conditions. So you’re not going to have to worry about the ball slipping off your foot with these shoes, and they’re a great pair of boots.
Moving on to the area that’s in black there on the rest of the shoe, this is actually made from a weave derived from castor beans that’s coated in a recycled plastic made from plastic bottles. It’s going to be the same material that you’re gonna find a lot of the new Nike jerseys, and it’s something sharp and it feels excellent on your feet, gives you great support and is really something that you’re going to enjoy wearing.
The sole plate is also unique in the fact that it’s made from castor beans. Now they’ve used castor beans because they are not edible by people, so by using them to make these shoes they’re not taking food out of anyone’s mouth who might be poor or hungry, and they’re really trying to get behind this new Nike considered design initiative that’s very conscious of these factors when they’re producing products abroad.
Another interesting part about these cleats is that the actual studs on the end are also made from the same recycled materials, so really no matter where you look in this shoe, you’re not going to have any waste, and you’ve got a really small carbon footprint and a great deal social consciousness.
The insole is another interesting part of the shoe. It’s a brand new insole from Nike. It’s still incredibly thin but it’s extremely cushioned and soft and it’s one of the softest ones I’ve had on my feet recently, even more so than the new Maestri III.
It’s just an amazing pair of shoes and really with the padding and perforation around the heel, around the foot hole and really just all the way up through the front of the boot, you’re never going to have to worry about your feet getting sweaty, slipping or blisters.
These are ready to go right out of the box, and I recommend just getting them on and trying them out in a game. Other than that, honestly, you should try and pick them up. They are extremely limited and we will run out.
