The Las Vegas Raiders have a decision to make with interim head coach Rich Bisaccia, whose future with the franchise is far from certain.

Despite parting ways with head coach Jon Gruden halfway through the 2021 season, the Raiders are in the playoffs thanks to the efforts of interim head coach Rich Bisaccia.

That does not mean that Bisaccia is likely to make this audition a permanent concert.

Adam Schefter appeared on Mad Dog Sports Radio on Wednesday with an update on Bisaccia’s future with Las Vegas, and that does not sound optimistic.

Adam Schefter does not believe Rich Bisaccia is in line for Raider’s job

“I do not think [Bisaccia] believes he has a chance to keep the job, which is unfortunate because he has done a good job, ”Schefter said. “They have been subjected to an enormous amount of adversity. He is respected and respected among his players and people in the organization.”

While Schefter briefly pondered the possibility that Bisaccia would do enough in the playoffs to convince Mark Davis to keep him, it sounds as if the Raiders’ owner is getting ready to hire a new one.

“I do not think he believes he is safe and I think they believe they will make a change,” Schefter said.

Bisaccia was appointed Raider’s interim head coach on October 11, after Gruden resigned. He has gone 7-5 as an interim and ends the regular season with four wins in a row to achieve a playoff spot.

Las Vegas travels to Cincinnati to host the Bengals on Saturday. Bisaccia’s hopes of getting the head coach job probably depend on winning that match and more beyond that.

The Raiders have not been in the playoffs since 2016. They have not won a playoff game since 2002.
