We need to talk about Nike hypervenom indoor soccer shoes. To be exact, the new Neymar Nike Hypervenomx Proximo Ousadia Alegria. Inside the box, they include a lace bag that comes with the shoes. The string bag is the same as you get with the Phantom 2. It has the black on black pattern you find on the shoes, black strings, a light crimson Nike Swoosh on the front, the pattern continues on the back and of course the Neymar logo at the bottom.

Now let’s inspect what is a limited edition color edition of Hypervenomx Proximo in Neymar’s Ousadia Alegria colorway. Which looks really cool. So we are going to cover in this review:

  • The general aesthetics of the shoe,
  • Inspect and see how this color differs from the regular Phantom 2 Armor,
  • Technical specifications,
  • Performance features.
  • Look at the weight,
  • Talk about these indoor soccer shoes fit and feel on your feet.
  • Cover everything you need to know about Nike hyper-venom indoor soccer shoes in just this color scheme.

If you are interested in the pair for yourself, this shoe is available in both indoor and grass areas. Nike did not do this color way for the rest of the Hypervenom X models, just Proximo. You could pick these guys up around $160 retail price. These are $10 more than standard colorways just because it is a limited edition.

General aesthetics of Nike Hypervenom indoor soccer shoes

Let’s get straight into the review to start things off by inspecting the colorway. The upper of this shoe is virtually no different from the Phantom 2 in this exact Neymar signature color. Except for some tiny little details. For the pattern, it is the burst apart in the burst fist of both left and right shoes. They are technically different from each other, which is a pretty cool little detail. When you are close to the shoe, you have the light reddish brown color for the Nike swoosh front and back and for Neymar logo right there on the medial page. You will find your Nike skin branding in silver. It has black laces; it has the black Flyknit item on with the bright crimson ring at the top. Then, of course, the middle layer of flying is also bright red. So when the collar stretches, it reveals the bright red color.

Proceed to the midsole. When you run along the edge of the sole, you will find some sandpaper like texture and solid black, which is a little different, specifically for the indoor variation. You will find the black midsole. Which is usually Next element, but it is solid black. And the outsole which is really nice. It is translucent all the way through the front of the shoe, while the back is translucent black. So very cool looking. The peat version is also transparent with the same dishes, but it looks a little different.

Technical specifications of the Nike Hypervenom indoor soccer shoe

Let’s move on to the technical specifications so we can learn a little more about the overall performance. In terms of performance, the HypervenomX Proximo is essentially an indoor version of the Phantom 2. It has exactly the same upper, but clearly with an indoor bottom and a midsole in foam. So the top is the same Nike leather upper that you would find on a Phantom 2. It has a very firm feel to it.

If you like softness from your shoes, it does not have what you are looking for. It is thin and has a barefoot feel, has a very eary feel because of the lack of softness, and it is just stiffer than one would expect from a high-end football shoe. For that reason, it really is not for everyone.

You have a certain structure on the surface of the upper that really does not affect the performance in any major way. But what you get from the firmness and just the solid structure of this upper is a very responsive feel. The combination of the firmer Nike leather synthetic and fly-wire cables that run from the bottom of the sole into the lacing system. When you push your foot into this shoe and tie the laces tightly, it is locked in place securely. When you make these quick cuts and changes of direction, there is no movement in the upper part.

They center the laces, giving a slightly cleaner kicking surface in the strike zone on your foot. But not something that has a big impact on performance. The middle part of the upper part, where the tongue will normally be, is made of elastic Flyknit, which is attached directly to a piece of collar. It has a midcut design that changes the fit and feel of the heel area. It also has an internal plastic heel counter like the regular Phantom 2.

The center is foam and is a kind of medium thickness when you compare it to the other Nike indoor or turf models.

Moving on to the bottom – is the same across all Nike X models, whether it’s Hypervenom, Magista or Mercurial X, they are all exactly the same. They have a hexagonal pattern that works really well. It gives great traction on just about any kind of hard flat surface. if you want to use these for street football, they hold up pretty well based on my personal experience with them. If you are playing on grass, there is a grass variation available that has all the same elements with the upper and midsole, just with lawns at the bottom of the outsole.

Emphasis on Nike Indoor Soccer Shoes Hypervenom

In terms of weight, the Hypervenomx Proximo is relatively light for an indoor shoe. A brand extra pair in size 9 weighs 9.15 Oz equivalent to 259 grams. These are not the lightest slippers and not the heaviest. You are unlikely to have problems with the weight of HypervenomX.

Fits and feels on the foot

The Nike hypervenom indoor soccer shoe definitely sinks and fits on the feet, and it actually has exactly the same upper as the Hypervenom Phantom II. So for that reason, it feels pretty similar. Is it exactly the same? No, this one has a kind of slightly higher volume fit, and much of it just has to do with the foam bottom. These soccer shoes are a little more comfortable than the regular Phantom 2, but not much. It still has the very firm upper. It does not soften up; it has no kind of softness to it. But it will be a little more flexible overtime.

As for the fit of the heel, this is a midcut model from Nike, so it has the same fit to the heel as all the regular models, whether it is an indoor or outdoor shoe. Beak them in slowly. Take your time with them and do not carry them straight into a game or straight into a free kick.

Width – it is a close-fitting shoe, but it is not too narrow. They will be suitable for most foot types, but just remember that they do not stretch. The way they fit out of the box is the way they fit into their entire lives. So if you have really wide feet, it may not be the best option for you, but otherwise most of them fit well.

Size – I have my usual size 9 US and the length is absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend going for actual size to achieve the best fit.
