New Pete Carroll quote will definitely anger Russell Wilson

When the Seattle Seahawks fell to Washington Monday night, Pete Carroll had no choice but to shout out Russell Wilson a little.

Things have simply gone from bad to worse for the Seattle Seahawks. As the team entered the 2021 campaign with Super Bowl dreams, the season has been a complete and total nightmare. Things reached a new low with Monday night football loss to Washington Football Team.

The Seahawks attack surprisingly could not get anything done at FedEx Field. It goes without saying, but Russell Wilson has not looked like himself, and that was once again the case in Week 12. He looked so off, even Pete Carroll had to call him out a bit with his recent comments.

Pete Carroll, who shouts Russell Wilson, only contributes to the Seahawks drama

Carroll makes no mistake here, as Wilson at times looked awful towards Washington. There were several throws where the superstar quarterback could not have been more off. Fans scratched their heads time and time again when Wilson wanted to sail a throw or just miss an open receiver.

That DK Metcalf only got its first catch at the end of the fourth quarter was unacceptable. On the failed two-point conversion, which would have sent the game into overtime, Metcalf was open in the final zone, waving his arm at Wilson to get him the ball.

Wilson instead tried to force a throw, and Seattle saw its record drop to 3-8. It’s no secret that Wilson and Carroll have had their problems in the past as well. When Carroll puts his performance on the blast, it only gets to frustrate Wilson even more.

While the two have brought home a Super Bowl to Seattle, it really feels like this will be their last season working together. Some major changes are needed for the NFC West team. Who knows what will end up going down.
