The 2022 NFL Draft is less than two weeks away, and here we dive into what the first round could look like after all is said and done with a new NFL mock draft with a new No. 1 pick.

The 2022 NFL Draft is getting closer and closer, and we’re officially under two weeks before the action starts in Las Vegas, Nevada. There has been a lot of movement in relation to the draft order, and with limited time before the event starts, there is still a chance that we can see more.

Here we dive into one of our last 2022 mock drafts and see what the first round could look like after all is said and done.

Travon Walker

edge, Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars have the overall No. 1 spot in the 2022 NFL Draft, and unless something crazy happens within the next ten days, they are expected to stay there. Throughout the season, we’ve seen the potential top pick change, and here we have a new face on top of our mock draft landing in Jacksonville.

That player is Travon Walker from Georgia, who has seen his stock rise markedly over the last few weeks. He fills an instant void for the Jaguars, giving them an elite-pass-rushing presence in a very winning AFC South next season.

Kyle Hamilton

Security, Detroit Lions

Election No. 2 in the 2022 NFL Draft belongs to the Detroit Lions, which has two first-round picks this year. Their second comes at the end of the first round, but with the second overall selection, they will undoubtedly get the best player in this draft class.

Kyle Hamilton of Notre Dame is one of the most NFL-ready players on the market this year and he’s not going to fall outside the top-5. He plays a needy position, and with NFC North boasting an all-around great quarterback in Aaron Rodgers, secondary help is a must for the Lions.

Gardner sauce

Cornerback, Houston Texas

The Houston Texans are another team that has more choices in the first round of 2022, this after swapping Deshaun Watson away for the Cleveland Browns. With this pick, the third overall, they pick up yet another defensive back who has the ‘best player available’ who goes into this year’s draft.

Ahmad ‘Sauce’ Gardner can do it all from his cornerback position and he would be a guy who comes in and can play at All-Pro level as a rookie. Head coach Lovie Smith is a defensive guy, and in Gardner he gets the best cornerback in this year’s draft class.
