This has been a backward spell for Wolverhampton Wanderers, one filled with change rather than familiarity.
It’s not often that we can say that about Nuno Santo’s team, but he has been forced to make some changes over the last month.
For him first time during his time at Molineux, he moved into a four-man baseline against Southampton. With that formation he designed a draw with the Saints and a win over Arsenal, but things quickly unraveled against Liverpool and Aston Villa.
Reversing to a three-man baseline did the trick against Chelsea last time out, as Old Gold secured a 2-1 win.
However, in some ways, a trip to Turf Moor could be more complicated. Here’s the XI that we predict Nuno will pick on Monday night.
As you can see, the Wolves coach might prefer his proven system once again, using an unchanged formation from the one that defeated the Blues.
However, there are two changes to the site that won last week.
The first to note is that there is no Ruben Neves. The Portuguese started his third game in the last five against Chelsea in place of the suspended Joao Moutinho, but with his compatriot set to return on Monday, Neves retires.
Who should play in the midfield?
For one reason or another, Nuno no longer sees the young central midfielder as one of the first names on the team sheet.
The other change is in attack where the £ 22.5 million Fabio Silva is expelled from XI. It may sound harsh, but the teen can fight a bullish bottom line from the Clarets.
He has yet to score in the Premier League and consequently we tip Adama Traore to get called up and start alongside the spirited Pedro Neto.
Given his physical qualities, Traore might be the right man to upset the likes of James Tarkowski and Ben Mee.
We believe the Wolves defense will not change with Marcal holding his place ahead of Rayan Ait-Nouri. Unfortunately, Raúl Jiménez is still out and Recovery of a fractured skull.
And in other news, Shi could sign the Wolves as his next Saiss with an “incredible” talent of 35 capitals …
