Market: Millwall victory
Odd: 9/5 @ 888sport
Looking to extend his unbeaten streak by midweek, Millwall will face Luton at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night.
Starting with the hosts, while Luton could have managed to get that much-needed 1-0 win against Birmingham earlier in the month, it looks like it was just a small rebound for the Hatters. Once again continuing to slide down the Championship standings, Nathan Jones watched his team put on another slow display over the weekend. Watching their old patron Stoke give the drums 3-0 at Bet365 Stadium, the Whites are now coming off back-to-back losses. With just one win to his name in his last seven straight contests across all formats, a streak dating back to January 16, Luton has also scored just one point in his last three matchups at Kenilworth Road. Hit with a 2-0 loss when they faced Millwall in the reverse game, Jones’ men certainly face another ordeal midweek.
As for the visitors, while Millwall would have been hugely disappointed to have had to settle for a point against Wycombe over the weekend, they have impressed over the past month. Managing to find a route back to the top half of the table, head coach Gary Rowett finds his side amid an unbeaten streak dating back to January 23. With their recent streak highlighted by a 4-1 fight against Sheffield Wednesday earlier in the month, it should be noted that the Lions have accumulated 10 points in their last four Championship matchups. Plus, last seen outside the Den picking up an impressive 2-1 win against play-off contenders Reading, Millwall should be smelling a golden opportunity in the capital by midweek. With that 2-0 win when they hosted Luton in October, we endorsed a similar result on Tuesday night.
