Ndamukong Suh’s latest tweet should make Raiders fans cautiously happy
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has no time to speculate about Antonio Brown’s return to Pittsburgh, and shuts down any talk of a new podcast appearance.
Mike Tomlin has a huge respect for Antonio Brown and what he achieved with the Steelers.
This does not mean that the head coach is open to the recipient returning to the team.
Tomlin appeared on The Pivot Podcast this week and spoke extensively about Brown and his influence on the football field. But first, he shot any notion that he was on the Steelers list again.
Mike Tomlin puts the rumors back to Antonio Brown Steelers
“You all know it’s not happening,” Tomlin said. “In terms of putting on a helmet and running out of the tunnel and playing ball and stuff like that, man. You know he has moved on, we have moved on. ”
He called the idea “not realistic.”
All of this stems from Brown making waves about wanting to retire as Steeler. He tweeted about it and also expressed that desire in his own episode of The Pivot Podcast.
Tomlin did not rule out the prospect of Brown getting a one-day contract to officially retire as Steeler, so that option is still on the table. He certainly will not play for Pittsburgh again.
Does Brown deserve a one-day contract and pension treatment?
Of course, he was seven times Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion with the franchise. He also forced his way out of town by sowing the seeds of discontent in Pittsburgh’s locker room and has been accused of sexual misconduct on several occasions. It does not even mention cases of erratic and violent behavior, including a quarrel with Raiders GM Mike Mayock and accusations of battery and burglary in 2020.
The Steelers will have to decide if they want to buy another circus ticket for it.
