Paris Saint Germain’s search for Lionel Messi could play a pivotal role in whether Manchester United can sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus.
The Red Devils are still searching for the right formula with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. It’s been one step up and two back, but they are currently on a four-game Premier League winning streak.
However, there is no question that the Old Trafford giants need to get stronger and Dybala has been linked in the past.
United showed interest in the 27-year-old during the summer of 2019, but no deal materialized. However, they may be about to look again, depending on AS, depending on what happens elsewhere.
The Spanish newspaper suggests that Paris Saint Germain is trying to attract Messi to the Parc des Princes. That comes after Neymar expressed his desire to bond with the Argentine superstar once again.
Whether or not that transfer will happen is open to debate and the Parisians have a backup plan. It seems that they want Dybala if his compatriot stays at the Camp Nou.
That may mean a direct fight between the Premier League giants and Thomas Tuchel’s team for the South American.
Dybala he has been with the Old Lady since leaving Palermo in the summer of 2015. He has enjoyed incredible success, winning five consecutive Italian top flight titles and lifting the Coppa Italia three times.
The forward was also part of the Juve who lost to Real Madrid in the 2016-17 Champions League final. However, his star has been on the wane this season with Andrea Pirlo, with just four starts in the league and no goals.
Reports claim that he is charting a route out of Turin for a club that will guarantee him regular playing time. AS goes on to say that Manchester United have contacted Dybala’s representatives to get the ball rolling.
Another Argentine star on the horizon
Dybala can become a target but Thiago Almada seems like a lot on United’s radar already. Currently in the books of the Argentine club Velez Sarsfield, the 19-year-old has been drawing attention with his confident displays.
The youngster has scored nine goals in 43 top flight matches and other clubs have shown interest.
Leeds United was linked by the connection with Argentine coach Marcelo Bielsa. Arsenal have also been mentioned as possible suitors, but Todo Transfers insists that United are a favorite for their signing.
