Manchester United advanced to fourth place in the Premier League table after beating West Ham 3-1 on Saturday at London Stadium.
The Red Devils were completely outscored in the first half, but came from behind in the second to secure the three points, with Bruno Fernandes playing a major role in their resurgence.
For the fifth straight away game this season, United lagged behind, but goals from Paul Pogba, Mason Greenwood and substitute Marcus Rashford turned things around for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
The Hammers took the lead in the 38th minute through the unmarked Tomas Soucek and could have added more, but Pablo Fornals hit the post and Sebastien Haller slipped at a crucial moment.
The introduction of Fernandes and Rashford completely changed the game as United accelerated several marches after the break.
Pogba scored a fantastic goal from outside the area, but required a VAR check to confirm if Dean Henderson’s long punt had been thrown out of play first.
Greenwood and Rashford scored brilliantly putting United just 2 points behind leaders Tottenham, who face Arsenal on Sunday.

New kings of the Premier League?
This is becoming a familiar story for United – playing horribly, conceding a goal and winning the game, eventually, the hard way.
Solskjaer feels it shows his team’s mindset that their players know they can pull it off, although Rashford has contradicted his coach’s opinion by saying they should stop doing this.
Fernandes, once again, has played an important role. United have accumulated more points (51) than anyone in the Premier League since the Portuguese joined the club in February.
The former Sporting Lisbon attacking midfielder has been key to United’s recovery this season, as the 26-year-old has scored seven goals and has already contributed four assists in the league.
He has created 35 chances, the most of any player in the top five leagues in Europe this season. Over the years, the Red Devils have failed in the transfer window, but the signing of Fernandes has turned out to be a huge success for the club.
