Manchester United have been linked to moves for Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier, as well as Real Madrid’s Lucas Vázquez.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking for another option at the right-back role. Aaron Wan-Bissaka currently occupies that position, and the alternatives are Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Brandon Williams, who are not specialists in that position, and Ethan Laird, a young talent who needs time to develop.

Wan-Bissaka has started all but two of Man Utd’s matches this season in all competitions. The tight schedule and likely deep runs in national and European competitions make rotation a must.

Reports now say the Red Devils will look to La Liga for a second option on the right side of the bottom four, with Kieran Trippier and Lucas Vázquez named as potential arrivals.

According to the Telegraph, Man Utd are longtime fans of the former Burnley man.

Trippier’s current contract at Atlético de Madrid expires in July 2022, potentially leaving him available at a low price. However, the Englishman is still very much in favor at Wanda Metropolitano, playing every minute of the campaign so far in all competitions for La Liga leaders.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s Central Defense has reported that Spaniard Lucas Vázquez could be the subject of an offer of 15 million euros from Solskjaer.

The 29-year-old entered the ranks of Real Madrid, breaking into the first team in 2015 after a stint at Espanyol. Since then, he has played 218 games for Los Blancos in all competitions, winning two league titles and three Champions League titles.

Vázquez has enjoyed immense success at Real Madrid

Vázquez has played as a right back for most of his career. However, he has recently been replacing on the right side due to the absence of Dani Carvajal.

Both players would give Man Utd a different option than Wan-Bissaka, who is widely regarded as one of the best defensive backs in the world, although that is somewhat limited going forward.
