Manchester United have been in contact with Erling Haaland’s agent, Leeds are targeting a full-back and Moussa Dembele is on the move, all in the Euro newspapers.
UNITED MAKES A GREAT DEAL FROM HAALAND
Manchester United reportedly received a hammer blow in their pursuit of Erling Haaland.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was chasing the prolific striker in January. The two worked together at Molde and Solskjaer flew in to watch the 20-year-old after he scored 29 goals in 27 games for RedBull Salzburg.
United, although it apparently resisted the fees from Mino Raiola involved in the Haaland deal. Instead, the Norwegian secured a move to Borussia Dortmund for just £ 17.2 million.
Ed Woodward also objected to Raiola’s insistence that a release clause be inserted into his Old Trafford contract.
Since then, that clause has been inserted into his contract in Dortmund. This states that he can leave the Westfallonstadion in 2022 if any club matches his release fee of £ 63 million.
Now Don balon They claim United have reconnected with Raiola for the 19-goal Haaland. The source claims that United has offered “nearly double” the £ 63 million buyout clause that won’t take effect until 2022.
Unfortunately, Raiola isn’t looking forward to his client ending up at Old Trafford after the whole Paul Pogba saga.
They claim that “his relationship with the United board is not good” and suggest that the player would prefer to move to Man City.
