Mino Raiola has ruffled some feathers at Old Trafford, with the Manchester United fan-site Stretty News demanding that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer give Paul Pogba an ultimatum.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve already read Raiola’s comments.
If you haven’t already, a change of residence would not be a bad idea in the first place, but just to bring you up to speed, as BBC Reported this afternoon, Raiola revealed that Pogba wants and needs to leave Man United.
Their discontent is not surprising, but the timing is disastrous for Man United and Solskjaer. Their Champions League clash with RB Leipzig tomorrow will determine whether or not they continue in the competition or fall out of the Europa League.
One can only imagine what it must feel like to be a United fan in the middle of this saga, but Stretty News has provided insight into a furious piece demanding that Solskjaer give Pogba an ultimatum.
Stretty News writes:
“Where does that leave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is already under scrutiny 60 minutes before kickoff for his team’s selections?
“Well, your decision is pretty straightforward.”
“Pogba is not an impressionable young man, but a 27-year-old World Cup champion who has his own voice.”
“So if you are asked to correct Raiola and distance yourself from the speculations that distract you and that you surely have not allowed, you should not hesitate.”
And if the Frenchman refuses, you have to abandon him completely. “
And who can argue against that?
Either Pogba knew that Raiola was going to make these comments, and that is bad in itself for the big game tomorrow, or not, in which case why hasn’t he clarified his position already?
All of this sucks, and you can understand Stretty News’s frustration.
