Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in a transfer deal for Brighton defender Ben White, but Liverpool are not pursuing the 23-year-old.
White has shone at Brighton and has also impressed on loan at Leeds United last season, sparking speculation about his future over the summer.
Man Utd was also linked with him, with the Sun stating that the Red Devils might have to pay up to £ 50 million to convince Brighton to sell.
Sky sports now they also add the Chelsea name to the mix, but add that Liverpool “have no interest” in White despite having no options as a central defender due to their injury crisis this season.
It will certainly be helpful to United and Chelsea if they can avoid fighting Liverpool for White, who may well have seen Anfield as the most tempting destination of those three clubs at the moment.
Now, though, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer perhaps has more hope of finally recruiting a suitable partner for Harry Maguire in the back, with the likes of Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly not looking up.
Meanwhile, Chelsea could surely also benefit from an update from players like Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen, while fit summer signing Thiago Silva is 36 years old and surely doesn’t have much longer at the highest level.
