Liverpool fans may be interested to know that Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus has forgotten to rule out the possibility of leaving the club in the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old looks like a great young talent and has recently been linked to Liverpool by Kicker, as translated by Sports witness, which reports that he has a 40 million euro buyout clause that the Reds may be willing to pay to sign him.
Neuhaus seemed keen not to dwell on speculation about his future amid the Liverpool transfer rumors, but admitted he did not know what would happen at the end of this season.
“I have a contract until 2024 and I have great goals for this season,” said the German international. Kicker.
“That is what I am concentrating on now. [Transfer talk] It’s really not a big deal for me right now.
“I play for Borussia, I have a contract and we as a club continue to pursue great goals this season. I can’t say what will happen in the summer at this time.
The LFC could use a signing like Neuhaus right now as they surely need to rebuild their struggling team after this hugely disappointing campaign.
Jurgen Klopp’s team may have clinched the title last season, but is now far from guaranteed to finish in the top four after recent poor form.
Neuhaus could be ideal as Georginio Wijnaldum nears the end of his contract and Thiago Alcantara struggles to establish himself at Anfield.
