Liverpool have linked up with a host of defenders in recent weeks and it looks like Braga defender David Carmo is a target for the Premier League champions.
The 21-year-old defender has been compared to Virgil van Dijk for his dominant style of play and it will be interesting to see if Liverpool move for the defender this month.
The youngster is likely to be tempted if a club like Liverpool calls him up in January, but Braga may not be willing to weaken his side mid-season.
It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can convince the Portuguese team to take advantage of the young defender this month. The Reds have also been linked to players like Maximilian Wober.
According to reports via IndependentLiverpool are looking to hire a defender for a nominal fee and players like David Carmo and Sven Botman could be available for a reasonable outlay.
Liverpool are in a defensive crisis and signing a quality center-back could be a huge morale boost for them right now. Jurgen Klopp has had to rely on untested youngsters like Rhys Williams to start in Champions League and Premier League games.
Although Botman and Carmo are also quite young, at this time they are much more developed and mature.
The Liverpool manager could help them improve even more, as he has done with Joe Gomez.
