Sadio Mane is an absolute gentleman. We knew it anyway, but his celebration after scoring for Liverpool today against Crystal Palace proved it.
Mane shot home for the Reds to score their second goal of a game in which they ultimately scored seven. He celebrated by kissing his finger and pointing it at the sky.
While that kind of celebration is not unusual and would generally not require any additional context, Liverpool have provided it, and we are grateful they have provided it.
Take a look at this moving video, which explains how Mane’s goal celebration was dedicated to a disabled Liverpool fan and his grandfather.
Did Sadio promise and deliver?

Mane is an extremely likeable character, and it’s easy to see why when he goes out of his way to do things like this to put a smile on the face of a Liverpool fan.
We’re used to seeing him mimic teammate celebrations, but they aren’t usually as important and meaningful as this one. My hat is off to you, Sadio.
