Many Liverpool fans are furious with Roberto Firmino and Alisson for the way they reacted to the Merseyside Derby’s loss to Everton at the weekend.
The Reds were beaten 2-0 at home by their local rivals, ending a long streak without a defeat against the Toffees at Anfield in the Premier League.
This also continued Liverpool’s recent terrible form as it now possibly looks like they are going to have a hard time reaching the top four at the end of this season.
However, some fans have noted that Firmino liked an Instagram post from Everton forward Richarlison as he celebrated his goal and derby win.
Alisson was also seen hugging his opposite number Jordan Pickford after the game, and this has not gone well with several LFC supporters.
It’s fair to say that rivalry isn’t what it used to be at this level, but it’s also true that social media means these little details are captured by fans more than they ever would have been.
Here’s a reaction to Firmino and Alisson’s antics …
We have Firmino here, liking Richarlisons post of our loss and Alisson hugging Pickford like nothing happened. My blood is boiling. pic.twitter.com/foy6HCHMMg

I have undying loyalty to both Alisson and Firmino, but their post-match antics with Pickford and Richarlison are unforgivable. Does rivalry no longer exist?

I don’t know how anyone can think that firmino likes those pictures of richarlison okay, it’s an absolute shame for me

Alisson chatting (arm around neck) with Pickford and Firmino who like Richarlison’s Instagram post
after losing to Everton, it’s pathetic for me.They are our rivals who beat us for the first time since the dinosaurs became extinct.
It should never happen.

I don’t like them both, but for me Alisson with Pickford wasn’t so bad. On the other hand, does Firmino like the photo of Richarlison in particular …? https://t.co/n2DuggN61H

Estimated @LFC,
I don’t care that Firmino is a false 9 and doesn’t score as much as other center forwards, but liking Richarlison’s instant post just means he has to be sold as he’s been in the LFC for almost 5 years and still doesn’t understand the emotions. in the Merseyside derby!– Mahendra Agilan (@ mhdra18) February 23, 2021
The problem with the Firmino and Alisson stuff, whether we hate them or not, stems from the fact that WE hate Richarlison and Pickford for what they did this season, so we expect the players to be the same when they most they probably are not. .

Maybe I’m reading too much about it, but I don’t think I am.
When Firmino sees that image of Richarlison celebrating at Anfield after defeating Liverpool at Anfield for the first time in 22 years, he should be in pain. I don’t care if they are colleagues / friends. It is not on.

That Firmino likes Richarlison’s Instagram post could be the last straw for me
– Milo (@TheKingKlavan) February 23, 2021
I understand that Firmino likes that post, but Alisson hugging Prickford …

Firmino’s may not be that deep and it wasn’t even him, but Alisson’s is unforgivable

I haven’t scored since home open play all year, 5 losses in 7 in the league, ex-physios calling the club, Firmino and Alisson acting as friends with the Everton players after losing a first home derby in over 2 decades.
We are a mess right now on and off the court.
