Liverpool have recently been credited with an interest in RB Salzburg forward Patson Daka, and the Zambian could turn out to be the Reds’ next Sadio Mane.
Which is the word?
According to the QuickWest Ham has been offered the opportunity to sign the forward for just £ 25 million this month and the report also suggests that he is a target for Liverpool and Arsenal, while Spurs have been linked with him in the past.
The Reds were certainly in the market for a fast forward like Daka during the summer transfer window, as they were strongly linked with Timo Werner before his move to Chelsea, so if they signed the 22-year-old from Salzburg, he could add a different dimension to Jurgen Klopp’s attack.
Klopp’s next mane?
Daka, who can also play on any wing, has accepted Previously, he wanted to emulate his fellow African stars, Mohamed Salah, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mane, so he clearly holds the Senegalese international in high regard.
He also mentioned the former Southampton player, as well as Naby Keita and Takumi Minamino, as players who have played for RB Salzburg before moving on to more important things, so perhaps we can see the Reds benefit again by signing Daka from the Austrian side.
Would Daka be a good signing for LFC?
Certainly his scoring record over the past two seasons suggests he’s ready to take the plunge, as he has. 49 goals and 20 assists in just 100 appearances for Salzburg in his career thus far.
Last season saw him hit impressively 24 goals and eight assists in 31 league games, and is well on its way to surpassing that total this season, having achieved eight goals and three assists in just eight appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga so far this season.
Considering that it is valued at £ 18 millionThe fact that Liverpool is paying £ 25m for him this month seems like a fair price, especially considering his exceptional start to the 2020/21 season.
Soccer coach Herve Renard is undoubtedly a huge Daka fan, and sang his praises in 2020, saying:
“It is a modern and fast paced center [forward] that he is able to push himself and make a difference because he is skilled and has a sense of movement. You really have to write his name, because it is very, very promising. “
Therefore, Michael Edwards should part with the £ 25 million needed to sign Daka this month as he seems destined for a great future in the game and could be a huge success in this Liverpool team.
And, in other news … Edwards must shoot for a £ 90m-rated LFC goal after providing seven key passes in one game
