Gary Lineker has adopted Twitter to give his opinion on Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud.

Lineker was a man who knew how to find the back of the net, for the club and the country. His accolades are the accolades of a former world-class forward, who has spent his entire post-football career observing and analyzing the beautiful game.

Paraphrasing, he knows what he’s talking about.

He is also someone who has never shied away from giving his opinion, just as he did on Twitter after Olivier Giroud scored his fifth goal in a week to tie Chelsea with Leeds United at Stamford Bridge.

Lineker made a claim about the France international that has a lot of weight behind it.

And can you argue with that?

Giroud, especially at Arsenal, was considered the kind of forward you couldn’t have leading your line if you wanted to have any chance of winning the Premier League title.

Now, you think Chelsea’s only chance to do it would be with him spearheading his attack. He’s a great player, and he’s certainly not appreciated enough.
