With the NFL-free agency just around the corner, it seems that retrospective Leonard Fournette is ready to see what kind of attention he can attract.

Where will veteran runback Leonard Fournette play next season? Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans have been hoping Fournette would stay with the organization for the long haul.

However, it seems that the team is now facing some competition to retain its services. According to FanSided’s Matt Lombardo, Fournette is expected to see what’s out there in the free agency in March. Could he end up signing on a new team?

Leonard Fournette ought to receive numerous offers in the NFL free agency

After a tough showdown with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Fournette made her way to Tampa Bay last season and instantly won the fan base. That’s because ‘Playoff Lenny’ rose up where Fournette excelled in the Super Bowl victory over the Chiefs.

In that win, Fournette rushed to 89 yards and a touchdown while adding four receptions at 46 yards. This past season, Fournette carried the ball 180 times in 812 yards and eight goals. Now, however, it is unknown whether he will play for Bruce Arians again.

There are going to be some serious changes for this team as a whole. When Tom Brady announces his retirement, no one knows if Rob Gronkowski will return to the Bucs as well. Now Fournette could also be ready to leave town. It goes without saying, but losing Brady, Gronk and Fournette would be terrible news for the Bucs.

When Fournette turns 27 in January, he still has plenty of good football ahead of him. When the free agency opens, it’s better to think teams will run to try to get his signature. We’ll see if the Bucs can convince him to stay or not.
