Liverpool reportedly have the lead over Manchester United in the transferring race for Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappé.
The France international has been a world-class player for PSG and will undoubtedly become one of the leading stars of his generation.
It would be exciting to see Mbappé in the Premier League, and Duncan Castles has told the Transfer Window Podcast that might as well be your next destination.
Mbappe would reportedly prefer to move to Liverpool to play with Jurgen Klopp, Castles says, although he adds that the 22-year-old also likes Manchester United.
“He, as we have reported, is interested in moving to one of the two leagues for the next stage of his career. Or the Premier League where they told me their preference would be to move to Liverpool, ”Castles said.
“He likes Manchester United as a club but would rather work with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
“Or (he wants to move) to Spain; where Barcelona is an option. But obvious financial difficulties and Real Madrid have been chasing him since before he left for PSG ”.
If the Red Devils could pull off an ambitious signing like this, it would be huge for them in terms of trying to establish themselves as a force in the English and European game once again.
Still, it looks like Liverpool would be the favorite for Mbappe’s signing, and the Reds could clearly make some changes up front.
Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have been a great striker three for Liverpool, but it seems more and more that the teams could have worked on it a bit now.
Even the best teams need to change things sometimes and Mbappé could be a major improvement for Firmino.
